Rich Thompson

Rich Thompson is an accomplished Senior Executive, Advisor, and Board Member with more than 25 years of success across the staffing, and recruiting, human resources, and management consulting industries. His career has enabled him to galvanize the passion that helped him author and build many world-class training and professional development programs, transform the way the HR function executes the operational strategy through a tightly aligned structure and set of measures, and how to attract, develop and lead teams in a performance-based structure. Rich’s broad areas of expertise include global HR management, global talent management, performance management, P&L management, recruiting, operations, and business development.

Rich holds a key position as Chief Executive Officer of Xtra Point Group where he has built a human resources solutions company providing expertise in talent, performance, and culture strategies as well as special workforce development services for athletes to translate the unique skills and qualities of the athlete into advantages within the workplace. Rich has also served as Regional Chief Human Resources Officer — The Americas, UK, & Ireland of Adecco Group for the Americas, UK, & Ireland. where he developed a progressive operating model that changed how they executed the HR function by aligning to operational strategies and increasing efficiencies.

Prior to that role at The Adecco Group, Rich led as the Chief Human Resources Officer – North America for The Adecco Group, and the Senior Vice President, Global Head of Talent Management for The Adecco Group where he was responsible for the people strategy across more than 60 countries, building programs organically and in partnership with some of the world’s top business schools. For his exceptional leadership, he received the Leadership 500 Award by HR.com 2012, the Leadership Excellence Award by HR.com 2009, The Business Impact Award by GeoLearning 2008, the Top Young Trainer Award by Training Magazine 2006, a Finalist for VP of the Year by Ajilon 2001, and the Superstar Award by Ajilon 1997 – 2005, consecutively.

Rich earned his Master of Management from North Park University as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Wisconsin. He has continued completing professional training including Leading in Innovation by Hyper Island, Stockholm, Sweden, the Senior Executive Program by INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France, the Senior Leadership Program by IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland, and a Certificate in Human Resource management by North Park University.

He currently serves on the board for Gator Bowl Sports, Inc. as the Chairman of the Board, he previously was on the board of Jax High School as a Board Member and Gator Bowl Sports, Inc. as a Board Member. Rich was a Free Agent Kicker for the Green Bay Packers for two seasons prior to building his successful career in HR and Management.
